Assistant Principal

Toni Thompson

Aristotle once said, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."  As an educator with over 26 years in the classroom, this quote has become pivotal in the way Ms. Toni Thompson sees herself serving students, families, and staff.

As a daughter of a teacher and interim superintendent in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Ms. Thompson realized she had a passion for education at an early age.  She graduated from Lane College with a BA in Elementary Education.  Later, she earned two master's degrees from Tennessee State University. The first master’s is in school administration and the other degree is in Instructional Leadership.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Thompson has worn many educational hats; Literacy Facilitator, PLC Coach, ELA Common Core Coach, a curriculum writer, and New Teacher Mentor to name a few. Ms. Thompson is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also is a member of the prestigious Diversity Leader’s Network in Tennessee.

In Ms. Thompson’s spare time she enjoys writing, decorating, shopping, traveling, dabbling in real estate, jewelry making, and spending quality time with family and friends. In addition, she is the proud pet parent of a yorkie/pom mix named Gunner. Ms. Thompson’s greatest accomplishment to date is becoming a North Parkway Panther. Go Panthers!
